The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hungary is one of the founding members of the World Council of Churches, the Lutheran World Federation and the Conference of European Churches. In appreciation of our Church's ministry the 7th General Assembly of the Lutheran World Federation was held in Budapest in 1984 when Bishop Zoltán Káldy was elected its President.
