The Evangelical Lutheran Church maintains two homes for handicapped children and 21 old people's homes. 1,000 persons are attended to in these institutes. In the past years most of these buildings were renovated and modernised. The main tenancy of these homes and the work performed in them are considerably helped by the aids of the sister churches abroad and of the State.
